There may be snow outside but we are officially in “Planuary” for the farm. January is when we make make our crop plan, buy seeds and supplies for the farm and get our plan together for the farming season. I also take a lot of online classes to learn more about farming and sustainable agriculture as well as take trips to the library and get free books on farming and things that I am interested in learning and getting better at. The public library is the spot, so many great books there about gardening and plants. I splurged and bought myself a ticket to “DirtCon”, a conference held by my favorite podcast, The Dirt on Flowers. It was just as amazing as I knew it would be.
Next month on Feb 8th, we are holding our first wreath-making workshop at the Stonetree Farm and Cidery. I have been promising the owners, Frank and Brian that I would do an event at their cidery for two years and now that they have an amazing event space, well I had to put my big girl britches on and do it. I am a little nervous and it sold out so I pray that everyone has a great time. I am calling in the calvary to help: hubby, Mom, Sister-in-law. They don’t mind helping as long as there will be wine, ha ha.
